July 13, 2007 Gwenn & Nik van Schalkwyk from Tzaneen, South Africa visited the Rotary Club of Oakville North's meeting to share a bit of the success of our first Water For Humanity project in Tzaneen. Kevin Webb, our key contact at CRCID, met with our WFH planning committee afterwards to allow him the opportunity to share a little of what CRCID is all about. The presidents of the Rotary Clubs of Oakville, Oakville West, Oakville North and Oakville Trafalgar signed the official agreement with CRCID for future 100% match funding of up to $200,000 for Water For Humanity projects that are approved by CRCID.

May 4, 2007 T.A. Blakelock High School's Interact Club (Oakville, Ontario) raised $1,600 at its recent Multi-Cultural Evening.
April 17, 2007: An African Cultural Night NEW REPORT!!! Six Rotary Clubs -- Richmond Hill, Beeton, Aurora, Markham, Newmarket and Bradford -- put on a phenomenal "African Cultural Night" on April 17 in Thornhill. They had more than 400 guests including several Mayors, MPPs, etc. The guest speaker was Dr. Ivy Amoakohene, Ghana's High Commissioner in Ottawa. Entertainment included several African dance troupes and an African Fashion Show Parade. PDG Ron Denham, RI Coordinator of Water Resources Task Force, also spoke. Guess how they found out about us? They were directed to our Water For Humanity website by CRCID! The Clubs plan to do three events over 3 years to raise $30,000 for WFH. The African Cultural Night brought in over $10,000. WOW!
