We are waiting for GE/Zenon to
make an evaluation as to whether
this site meets its criteria for its next
philanthropic project. Should this
project go ahead, it would be similar
to the successful Tzaneen SA project
WFH completed in 2006. It involves
the building and installation of a
GE/Zenon membrane filtration plant
and the re-construction of the water
pipeline system in a town of 8,000
people. The nearby Rotary Club of
Santa Cruz would act as the Host
Club. The project will cost -- without
the Zenon Filtration Plant -- an
estimated $150,000 US. We are
currently awaiting word from Zenon
as to whether it is willing to take the
next step and send a group of
engineers to evaluate the proposed
site.
